Chief Legal Officer &
Chief Compliance Officer

John is Chief Legal Officer and Chief Compliance Officer for Unified. He has direct oversight for all legal affairs, including general corporate governance activities, merger and acquisition support, auditing, compliance and risk management. He and his team interface with the Unified corporate teams and Care Centers to advance and sustain a solid compliance infrastructure and program.

John has an extensive background as a healthcare executive, with more than 30 years of experience. Before joining Unified, he was General Counsel and Chief Compliance Officer for Zelis Healthcare Corp., a healthcare technology company. Prior to Zelis, John was Senior Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary for Gentiva Health Services, a $2 billion publicly-traded home health and hospice company.

Prior to joining the “corporate world”, John served as a judge advocate in the United States Marine Corps, both in active and reserve components. He served for nearly 25 years and retired from the Marine Corps Reserve as a Lieutenant Colonel.

John holds a Bachelor of Arts in History from St. John’s University and a Juris Doctor from Seton Hall University School of Law.
